I am in the process on recording all the Mama's Family Episodes on Dvd. Of course, they are not professional quality, but I will be happy when I have them all. I have been taping them off TBS and they did not show the episode in the 2nd season where she visits her childhood friend in the nursing home. Anyone know why that was not aired? Anyone have that recorded anywhere?

Wow, I can't help but see that this thread is from July of 2005!! WOW.. I just wanted to say, I just FOUND the Mama's Family DVD, The Complete First Season at my local Wal-Mart. According to the pamplet inside the DVD, it says it was released in 2006! WOW.. Either they are slow as heck, or they printed the wrong date. I have been to many other sites that gave the release date as being September of 2006.. Well, September of 2006 came and went, and no Mama's Family on DVD here in old PA.. **Sigh** At least I have the complete first season now. It is worth it; the price was $14.99 at Wal-Mart.

Anyone have that recorded anywhere? Thanks- Stephen I believe the episode in the nursing home is not in the syndicated package, because of the "Chariots Of Fire" theme. The theme is used when the elderly are playing musical chairs. Music rights are very expensive and Warner Brothers probably didn't want to pay the high reuse fee. Therefore, they just skipped the entire episode. This is too bad since it's a hilarious moment in that particular episode. Mark |
